 I had purchased an old gas space heater from a friend of mine, but in talking to the gas installation person, I decided to get a Southern Burner Model C-1. I purchased it from Sundance Supply along with my ventilation system. They have all the information needed to size the heater. The Southern Burner heater is all aluminum and will not rust. It's a small, very simple unit, only weighs about 10 pounds and most of that is the gas valve. The C-1 is the non-vented unit. I have a CO digital detector in the greenhouse for safety, but it has not gone above 0 once I installed the air intake pipe in the wall behind it. The people at Southern Burner were very helpful and eager to help, every time I called during my installation. I monitor the tempture at different points of the greenhouse and may put in some type of a fan to get some warm air to the floor. |
